Why do the Digital Makerspace Managers help?
Digital Makerspace Managers are ETH students and/or SPH project members who are intrinsically motivated and unpaid. They are willing to regularly give back to the SPH community in a skill-based volunteering model. Their intention is to help you out explore the digital space and bring your ideas to life.
What do we expect from students requesting a Digital Makerspace help session?
We expect you to:
- behave in a respectful, human, appreciative & open manner towards the sparring partners;
- understand that the Digital Makerspace Managers are not being payed, but are acting solely on intrinsic motivation;
- understand that Digital Makerspace Managers are only expected to exchange with you for the duration of the session and only talk and not produce anything. Managers can accept at their own initiative to have longer meetings, follow-up meetings or produce some work for you pro bono but that is entirely up to them.
- take the time effort of our Managers seriously, be punctual
- accept outside perspectives & feedback from Managers
